Technical Tip

When changing brake pads and using the brake wind back tool to compress the piston into the desired position, always remove the cap from the brake master cylinder. Ensure you have a cloth to prevent any spillage of brake fluid onto other components or parts of your car. Brake fluid can damage painted and other surfaces. It may be necessary to bleed your brakes after replacing pads & discs. Ensure you have the correct brake bleeding equipment to hand should this be required.

When changing your brake pads it is advised you check the condition of your discs (thickness and ridges), the condition of brake hoses and clean the calliper and surrounding areas with good quality brake fluid.
