When using Jumper Cables, always ensure both vehicles are switched off (Ignition & accessories). Connect the cables to each battery and secure the negative to the earth of the vehicle (if possible earth of the body). Once you have connected ensuring you keep positive and negative aligned, start the car from which you are jump starting. Now start the car which requires the jump start. Let the vehicles run like this for a few minutes then remove the cables. You may need to drive your car for a while to allow the Alternator to charge the battery. This will only work if the reason the battery went flat is because of leaving lights on, or an auxillary fault. Your battery may be faulty and become inoperable soon. We suggest you visit your local workshop or Midas Store to have your battery and charging system tested.
